Lighting made in Germany

2023 will see the end of fluorescent tubes and the like

"Phasing out conventional lamps" is the bulky phrase that heralds the end of energy-saving lamps and fluorescent tubes. The alternative is called LED.

In accordance with the RoHS Directive, compact fluorescent lamps and fluorescent lamps may no longer be placed on the EU market as of February 2023 or August 2023. However, the sale of remaining stocks will still be possible.
Of course, we will be happy to advise you on the selection of suitable replacement products for workplace lighting, machine and industrial lighting.

All changes in detail:

  • Ban on all T5 and T8 fluorescent lamps from August 25, 2023.
  • Ban on all CFLni lamps from February 25, 2023.
  • For special lighting solutions, such as special lamps and HPD lamps, there are temporary exemptions.

In contrast to the SLR, the amendment of the RoHS Directive, which regulates the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, will mean the complete end of all T5/T8 fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent lamps with plug-in bases from 2023. This of course has far-reaching consequences for lamps and other lighting solutions in many trades, industry and small business.

Think about the impact on your business now!
We will be happy to advise you!
