Ergonomics and Glare Control
Ergonomics
Lighting Ergonomics: well-illuminated work areas.
Lighting from LED2WORK also contributes to ergonomics in craft and industrial environments. Ergonomic task lights for ergonomic work – that is our guiding principle. Our LED industrial fixtures are developed with a focus on improving light quality, lighting conditions, and the overall lighting environment. Continuous advancement with product solutions for better visual performance and improved working conditions, along with the associated health benefits, makes us a strong partner for LED workstation and industrial lighting.
The LED chips we use are mercury-free and emit no UV or infrared radiation. Strong contrast visibility and high color rendering are standard features of our fixtures. We guarantee illumination that is uniform, low-shadow, glare-free, and flicker-free, helping to prevent rapid visual fatigue. Colors and contrasts are easily distinguished thanks to the high color rendering. To adapt the light output to your visual task, some of our fixtures are also equipped with stepless dimming.
Glare Effect: UGR (Unified Glare Rating)
The UGR value (Unified Glare Rating) is a dimensionless index indicating the degree of psychological glare produced by a lighting installation in a standardized interior environment. UGR values are defined in steps between 10 and 30, with lower values corresponding to reduced glare. The UGR considers not only direct glare from the fixture itself but also reflected light from walls, floors, and ceilings in a standardized room (DIN EN 12464-1). The actual UGR depends on the installation situation of the light source, the observer’s position, and the specific design of the fixture.
